I developed interactive student, parent and teacher Java-heavy Web activities and technology resources, cross-curricular projects and the Technology Corner; I also managed the threaded discussion for the Cyber Schoolhouse website
The Simon & Schuster Elementary Cyber Schoolhouse website was created in the original model of creating virtual environments based on brick and mortar. It provided a wealth of information and resources for teachers, students and parents in a user-friendly context. From the Lobby (shown above) you could visit the reading language arts room, science room, social studies room, mathematics room and music room. Each area had classroom and home activities (based on S & S products), technology integration resources, classroom libraries and product information. Kid Central is a Kid Only space with cool, interactive activities across the curriculum. This was cutting-edge tech at the time. I’m dating myself. 🙂
